The Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Buick Club of America was
founded in 1991 to serve and unite Buick enthusiasts in Northern Colorado and
Southern Wyoming. In 2021 the chapter celebrated our 30th
anniversary. Throughout these years we have enjoyed fellowship with like minded
Buick owners during our monthly meetings, impromptu breakfasts, local road trip
tours holiday gatherings and car shows. Buicks of our membership range from 1927
to relatively current model years. All current and prospective Buick owners are
invited to join us for any of our activities. For a small fee you may become a
member with privileges such as becoming a member of the club board and the
recipient of our newsletter, The Berthoud Bugle. Our founding roots lie in
Berthoud, Colorado.
Buick is one of the oldest American auto marques dating
back to its founding in 1903 and merger to become part of General Motors in
1908. All members share a common goal: the preservation, restoration,
enhancement, and enjoyment of the Buick motor car. Members do not have to own a
“show car” to be included and many of the cars presented are “drivers” and
restoration is in progress or planned. Members of the Rocky Mountain Chapter do
not even have to own a Buick, just have an interest. Several of our members are
very knowledgeable about Buicks and a great resource to other members.
Some people claim that American car collectors are a dying
breed. To that we say, “If we’re a dying breed, we don’t have to go quietly, and
we’re going to make sure we don’t.”
